Summary:
Paris Games Week – the annual gathering of game media and consumers, engaging, participating and observing the world of the digital game.
Amplify have a long standing relationship with brands such as Playstation at Paris Games Week, and were approached by Ubisoft to create and produce their first large stage at the event. The primary purpose, to host a large team of gamers and show live interactive gaming from products of Ubisoft to guests.
This was a pitch proposal resulting in the appointment of Amplify. Creative concept and pitched stage design led to delivery.
The duration of this pitch proposal was 4 days.
Concept:
“Creator of Worlds” – Ubisoft’s primary brand message, embedded as a narrative throughout their brand purpose.
This terminology brought the idea of a window and a portal to mind. Stepping into a world through a window – an abstract interpretation of ‘the screen’. Gamers situated on stage within the window, within the screen, within the world of the game.
Digital streaming of the game and world portrays in real time around the space, viewable to outside viewers looking in.
This concept and design conveys the idea of looking in to the screen and being within the screen of the game.
