Summary:
Huawei’s revolutionary smartphone in digital photography needed launching to the world through global media.
The Huawei P9 – the first model in the history of smartphones to begin a partnership with premium photography brand ‘Leica’, incorporating Leica technology into Huawei devices to capture beautiful photos. Its unique and key innovation – a dual lens with both RGB and Monochrome sensors, capture imagery and merge them together to create final image of depth, sharp clarity and colour. This unique dual lens technology became the iconography throughout the creative touch points of the event.
Concept:
A duo of circles presented themselves throughout the event to consistently nod to the key focus of the phone – the dual lens.
Guests entered the 1,000 seat venue through two tunnels to reflect the colour and monochrome sensors of the dual lens. One tunnel lit with white light. One tunnel lit with RGB light.
Two LED rings suspended above the audience, pulsating with white and RGB illuminations. A two-ring moving visual flowed across the backdrop of the stage, whilst the stage itself split into two circular spaces for the speakers and performers to go between.
